Based on evidence proposed in this website including news reports, articles and personal interviews held, it is apparent that this shoe violence issue is very significant in our society today. Technology is all around us today, and I believe that it should be utilized more in order to solve this ongoing problem. I do believe that it might come to higher measures where Michael Jordan will have to take a stand himself in order for a change to occur, but I do believe that it needs to start with the us, as a society. 

 

We need to teach our children that violence is not the key and if they get a job and work, maybe they can buy the shoes instead of stealing other people's. As for children still in school, they need to be taught the same and about priorities. Their main focus should be finishing school and going to college, starting their careers. A lot of it begins in the households! It may be too late for older individuals, but in their case they should be old enough to know right from wrong. It shouldnt take for someone to be arrested or killed over shoes to realize that this is nonsense. 

 

My idea on utilizing technology to prevent shoe violence seems like it could really help our communities. Here are the Pro's of my Idea:

 

• No long lines at malls and shoe stores: Mall security and workers won't have to worry about customers coming in causing riots and breaking down doors to get into the store first

• Safer envionment leaving the stores: People can either purchase the shoes online and won't have to worry about going to the mall, or if they do go to the mall, all they are doing is paying and leaving. Since the shoes ar shipped to their home, they dont have to worry about getting robbed leaving the store

• Michael Jordan will still make his money off of the shoes and won't have to worry about the violence that has been coming along with it. 

 

These ideas may sound simple, but in all actuality, it takes more than one person to initiate this idea and get it out there in the media. It would be a process to change the protocols to one, such as this one, or even just selling Jordans online, but I do believe that it is very possible! With the help of other people, change can happen.
